What forms of payment do you accept and or prefer?
All major forms of payment are accepted, all major credit cards, PayPal, and personal checks.
Can I pay on-line?
Yes, online payment is encouraged.
Do you have paperless billing?
Yes, invoices will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. If you require a hard copy of your bill – the option to print is yours.
How am I invoiced for my monthly maintenance?
Invoicing is done monthly by email. JB Landscaping is dedicated to being environmentally friendly.
If I only wanted maintenance twice a month – is that possible?
Yes, we will provide our service as frequent as you desire.
After the job is complete, do you remove clippings and debris from the job site?
Yes. We clean up after every job, including weekly and monthly maintenance.
What is the difference between an annual and perennial?
Annual flowers bloom for one year and then must be replaced. Perennial’s cycle and can last about three years but have a shorter bloom season.
Lighting my landscape with solar or low voltage lighting seems inefficient, is there a better way to showcase my new design at night without running up my electricity bill?
Yes. LED lighting has come a long way and is highly efficient regarding energy use and provides the desired illumination.
May I add a water feature to my design, a fountain, a pond, or a bird bath?
Yes. A water feature can be added, a hard line may have to be added to provide water. All this can be incorporated and will be included in the final price of your custom design.
Do you use fabric beneath mulch?
Yes, it can be used, however, the fabric is used primarily under stone to keep them from settling into the earth and weeds from growing out underneath.
What is mulch and why do I need it?
Mulch helps keep soil moisture and control weeds. As a secondary use it adds to the exterior of your house.

Is there a minimum cost to a custom landscape design?

Do you install stone and brick if the plan required?
Yes any masonry cutting or wall building is outsourced to trusted associates that demonstrate a professional and proper work ethic.

Can you do Hardscape?
Yes, we can create a hardscape that is attractive and pleasing to the eye.
Are pesticides necessary to keep a healthy lawn and landscape?
Only in certain cases when necessary, otherwise no they are not.
Do you use phosphorus free fertilizer?
JB Landscaping is dedicated to the environment and ensuring the environment is protected.
Can you install medium to large trees or is that a separate company and cost?
Medium trees can be installed; however large trees 15 feet and higher will be installed by a separate company.
Do you remove dead trees and trim large trees?
Only on a case by case basis; most large trees for removal or trimming are delegated to a separate company that has the proper tools and equipment.
Will stamped concrete last longer than pavers?
No, pavers will out last concrete in regard to the desired look. Stamped concrete can look great however may crack eventually, detracting and eventually need replacing.
What are Permeable Concrete, Pavement and Pavers?
Permeable Concrete Pavers and the like allow for storm water to filter and percolate through and into the ground. Allowing for ground absorption and not contributing to area flooding.
Am I required to do the whole project at once, or can we split it in phases?
J.B. Landscape Design can work with you to accommodate your timetable. If you need to split the project into phases, we can help.
How soon can you start – after the bid contract has been signed?
Once all materials are gathered and ready, the work can begin as quickly as one week.
Do you build therapeutic or healing gardens?
Yes, JB Landscaping can build a healing garden. JB Landscaping is dedicated to a better wellness for all; green spaces help all our lives and are good for our environment.
Can JB Landscaping design a landscape that I can maintain?
Yes we can design a landscape that a home owner can maintain themselves.
How long will the design take from when we meet until I see a final draft?
A typical design takes about seven business days, from a sit down with you, to presentation of a plan to beautify and transform your landscape.
Can a landscape design be done to screen out my neighbors?
Yes. there are options that can be employed to achieve the desired result. We strongly recommend you become familiar with your HOA and Deed Restrictions.
How elaborate can design plans be?
Your design can be as you desire, from a few new plants and trees to a complete removal and redo of your landscape.
Do you reimburse the design fee if I hire you to do the job?
There is no fee for the landscape design.
Do I need a designer if I only want to add a few things to pre-existing landscape?
No. Adding a few touches to beautify your existing landscape doesn’t require a design.
What if I already have a design of my own, and I want J.B. Landscaping to install?
If you already have an existing design, J.B. Landscaping can implement that design to your preference.
Do you repair existing irrigation systems, sprinkler heads and pipes?
Yes we can repair replace as well make additions to existing irrigation systems.
Can I see the materials before they are installed?
Yes a sampling can be made available to you regarding your project. JB Landscaping wants you to be active in your project and completely pleased with the end result.
Is there a warranty for work performed and new plants?
A limited warranty is available for work performed and limited on materials installed, including plants.
Do I need to be present for the work performed, be it monthly maintenance or a new design project?
No, you do not need to be present for any monthly maintenance or design project. Please feel free to be present or carry on about your daily routine.

Where can I see examples of before and after pictures?

If I cancel my design project already scheduled, how much time is needed and is there a refund on my down payment?
Canceling a previously authorized and scheduled project requires a minimum of 24 hours. In addition, due to materials already gathered or purchased for that project, any refund will be minus the cost of materials in preparation for that project.
If I reconsider and cancel my design appointment how much time is needed with out being charged a cancelation fee?
24 Hours is customary for a cancelation of a scheduled appointment.
How big a work crew can I expect for the design job or monthly maintenance?
Between 4-6 workers for maintenance on your property can be expected.
What time will work start and end during the day?
Be it maintenance or renovations, work begins no earlier than 8am ending at 6pm.
When is the deposit and final payment due for a new project?
Once a plan has been authorized by a client; half is due at the signing and acceptance of the project. Final payment is required upon completion of the scheduled project.
Can a design be augmented once work has begun?
Yes, if so desired any plan can be augmented
When is the best time to execute the design?
Weather permitting, be it any of the four seasons … JB Landscaping works all year long.
